Frequently Asked Questions

What does “Behavioral Health” mean?

Behavioral Health means helping children build skills they may not have learned yet. It does not mean something is wrong with your child.

What kinds of challenges do you help with?

We help with things like behavior problems, anger, ADHD, school issues, anxiety, and stress at home.

Is this therapy or tutoring?

This is Behavioral Health care. We help kids build skills, manage behavior, and work through challenges at home, at school, and in everyday life. This isn’t tutoring or a school program.

Do you work with children with autism?

Yes. We work with children with autism who are able to communicate verbally and participate in services. If your child is nonverbal or requires more intensive support, we may be able to refer you to a provider that better fits your child's needs.

What services do you provide?

We provide community-based Behavioral Health services like counseling, skills training, case management (care coordination), and family support. Everything is based on your child’s needs and Medicaid eligibility.

What is case management?

We help your child and your family get the support you need. That can mean helping with school, connecting you to local resources, or pointing you in the right direction for things like jobs, housing, or food assistance. We stay involved and help make sure everything is working together.

Who will be working with my child?

Your child will work with a trained Behavioral Health professional. All services are supervised and follow state guidelines

Who do you serve?

We serve children, teens, and families in Fort Worth and surrounding areas who need community-based Behavioral Health support.

Do you accept Medicaid?

Yes. We accept Texas Medicaid plans. If you’re unsure about your child’s specific plan, call us and we’ll help verify eligibility.

Do I need a referral?

No referral is required. Families can contact us directly to get started.

How does the intake process work?

You contact our office, we verify Medicaid eligibility, an intake call is scheduled, and services are assigned based on need and availability.

Is there a waitlist?

No. We are currently accepting new families. Availability is discussed during the intake call.

Where do services take place?

Services are provided where your child is most comfortable — we come to you in your home, your child’s school, or another approved community location.

How much time will services take each week?

Service time varies based on your child’s needs and clinical assessment. Some children receive one to two hours per week, while others may receive more. This is reviewed regularly.

How do I know if my child qualifies for services?

If your child has Medicaid and is having behavior, emotional, or school-related challenges, they may qualify. We’ll help you understand eligibility and what options are available when you call.
